Flag Day

Now,  I'm not sure how I was assigned to teach about "Flags" in January, but it happened.  I taught the kids about symbols on flags, and they each made their own flag displaying things that were important to them.  We made them with a large sheet of white foam, some markers, and a wooden dowel stapled on after completion.  Not the world's cutest project, but I think they got the idea of what a flag represents.

Then we also painted these little masterpieces:

Supplies:
11x14 artist's canvas
Red, White, and Blue paint
Paint brushes

P.S. - I am openly OBSESSED with these.  So easy to hang on a wall to enjoy for years!  And I promise they had more fun making these than this picture suggests. :)
